HYDROZONE Clean Retention Tank
Purification and retention
HYDROZONE Clean retention tanks are designed not only to store rainwater and regulate its discharge
Thanks to the installed pre-treatment module, it is also possible to purify water from hazardous contaminants.
The integration of the tank with an oil separator and a suspended matter settler ensures that the discharged water is free from harmful substances. Thanks to the pre-treatment devices and the flow regulation system, the tanks guarantee the gradual and safe discharge of water into a receiver or the ground.
If you also want to utilise the retained water for irrigation, municipal purposes, or firefighting, check out the tank from this line – HYDROZONE Benefit.
Benefits of use
Pollution reduction – enables the pre-treatment of rainwater and meltwater before their discharge into the environment, removing petroleum substances and suspended solids.
Installation in trafficked areas – the tank’s construction allows installation in roadways, motorways, and expressways.
Multifunctionality – the possibility of including several functions in one tank makes this solution particularly suitable for dense urban development.
Quick tank selection – the selection calculator is a free tool on the WaterFolder platform that shortens the designer’s work time and provides a complete set of design materials.
Potential land use above the tank – the tank is underground, allowing the land above it to be used for recreational or utilitarian purposes, such as parking.
Advanced monitoring and management – connecting the tank to the Bumerang Smart system enables control over the tank’s operation and management of the collected water and installed devices.
The retention tank selection calculator is a tool that allows for the quick selection of the appropriate tank from the Hydrozone series, using the most reliable rainfall data from the Polish Atlas of Rainfall Intensities developed by RetencjaPL.
The highlights of our tool are the detailed diagrams, the downloadable selection sheet and the ability to modify any parameter quickly and easily.
Our calculator can be found on the WaterFolder platform.

Application
Retention tanks for cities and municipalities
Modern cities are primarily a friendly and ecological environment for residents. For years, both residents and authorities of growing urban agglomerations have been struggling with water shortages, lack of greenery, or so-called relaxation zones. Increasingly, urban investment plans focus on the development of retention – both small and large scale.
Retention tanks help prevent urban drying, reduce surface water runoff, and protect water resources by recharging groundwater through percolation.
HYDROZONE Clean retention tanks will work excellently in tight urban development thanks to their compact, modular construction. On a small municipal plot, the area above the underground retention tank can be developed into a parking lot or green space.

Retention tanks for residential construction
Under the Water Law, the need for water retention becomes particularly important for residential construction. The contemporary trend is to build housing estates in harmony with nature, which aligns with the principle of sustainable development.
The use of the HYDROZONE Clean solution effectively prevents flooding of buildings, especially basements and garages. Additionally, incorporating this tank into the investment allows for the pre-treatment of rainwater runoff from parking lots in compliance with environmental requirements, while its underground construction does not occupy valuable space.

Contact usRetention tanks for industrial facilities
In many newly designed industrial facilities, the use of a retention tank is often one of the required solutions. Thanks to its design, which allows installation in trafficked areas, the HYDROZONE Clean tank does not take up additional space. The area above the tank can be developed in various ways, such as for parking or storage space.
Stored rainwater not only reduces the consumption of water from the water supply system, but also solves the problem of fees for draining rainwater.

HYDROZONE Clean retention tanks form an integral combination of pre-treatment devices (e.g., oil separators and suspended matter settlers) and DZB or TCM reinforced concrete tanks.
Rainwater is first directed to the EOW-1 centrifugal settler, where suspended matter with a density greater than 1 kg/dm³ is retained. In the centrifugal settlers, in addition to gravity, centrifugal force is also utilised. The centrifugal motion of the sewage entering the device is induced by a directional deflector, and the outlet from the chamber occurs through a central pipe in the middle of the tank.
Subsequently, the rainwater enters the high-efficiency ESL-Z petroleum products separator. In this device, suspended solids, light liquids (oil contaminants), and floating substances are separated. This process takes place through gravitational sedimentation, flotation, and coalescence as the water flows through the multi-stream lamellar insert.
After purification, the water flows into the retention tank. Water discharge can be carried out gravitationally, under pressure, or in a controlled manner if necessary.
The operation of the HYDROZONE tank is monitored using installed sensors, and the management of the collected water and installed devices is conducted via the Bumerang Smart system.
