Desc

The construction of the ESS PE 100 sewage pumping station in Stawiguda was a response to the growing need for modern and reliable sanitary infrastructure for large-scale industrial facilities. The project was developed to ensure efficient and secure wastewater transport from the JMP Biedronka Distribution Centre. It involved the implementation of cutting-edge technologies to guarantee operational reliability and compliance with technical and environmental requirements.

Scope of work

Ecol‑Unicon was responsible for the construction of the sanitary sewer system and the installation of the ESS PE 100 sewage pumping station, including the associated pressure pipeline.

The ESS PE pumping station features a module made entirely of PEHD. Thanks to its dual-channel separator design, it is adapted to operate under very high wastewater inflow rates. The scope of the contract included the full construction of the sanitary system and the pressure pipeline, as well as the delivery and commissioning of the ESS PE 100 station.

Applied solutions

The ESS PE pumping station is equipped with two dual-channel solid separation chambers, fitted with flexible filtering flaps. In its latest configuration, the separators are installed outside the retention module, positioned at the discharge nozzles of the pumps.

Pumping station parameters:

  • Wastewater type: sanitary
  • Flow rate: Q = 40 m³/h
  • Pumping head: 36 m
  • Pumps operate in alternating mode

Hydraulic system configuration:

  • Knife gate valve on the inflow to the pumping station – DN 200
  • Fittings on the pressure pipeline:
    • 2 × non-return valves – DN 100
    • 2 × shut-off valves – DN 100
  • 2 × shut-off valves on the suction line
  • Piping: DN 100
  • Electromagnetic flowmeter – DN 100
  • 2 dry-installed pumps operating in alternating mode
  • Drainage pump with an automatic switch activated upon detection of water in the pump body

Additional components:

  • Ecol‑Unicon control cabinet, installed on a pedestal next to the tank in a technical container, equipped with a hydrostatic probe and a backup level signalling system
  • Internal lighting inside the pumping station chamber
  • Mechanical ventilation of the pumping station body
  • Anti-odour system for the retention tank
