In July 2021, construction was completed on a biological modular wastewater treatment plant in the village of Jamielnik, designed to serve approximately 1,000 residents. The project was carried out according to schedule. The facility was designed and built with the potential for future expansion.
The plant has a nominal capacity of Qdś = 150 m³/day and a maximum capacity of Qdmax = 200 m³/day.
It treats domestic and municipal wastewater, and the entire investment was delivered on time and in accordance with the planned schedule. The project was commissioned by the Municipality of Nowe Miasto Lubawskie, with a total investment value of approximately PLN 4 million.
Scope of work
The investment involved the comprehensive construction of a sanitary and stormwater drainage system, including a local modular wastewater treatment plant.
As part of the project, Ecol‑Unicon delivered an ENA‑200 active odour neutraliser with a carbon filter cartridge and carried out its commissioning. The neutraliser was installed to reduce nuisance odours in the area surrounding the treatment facility. This solution significantly contributes to environmental protection and improves the quality of life for the residents of Jamielnik.
Applied solutions
The installed neutraliser is a modern device that uses an impregnated activated carbon cartridge to reduce odours and volatile toxic substances, including hydrogen sulphide (H₂S). The system is capable of removing up to 95% of odorous compounds.
This solution stands out for its compact design, which enables quick installation and easy operation, as well as the possibility of expanding the odour control system if the treatment plant’s capacity increases in the future.
The ENA unit is suitable for use in pumping stations, lift stations, and wastewater treatment plants – wherever effective odour elimination is required with minimal operating costs.
